DIY Wedding Ideas: Succulent Favors

Succulent Favors

My mother has had cactus and succulents growing in our home since I can remember. DIY Wedding Ideas Succulent Favors came to mind when I wanted our wedding guests to feel a sense of family and to take home something that was personal. What a better way to incorporate that feeling in what was in our home growing up. Not only did I use them in our favors, but they were also used as the place cards for our guests to know where to sit. I was even able to use some loose ones in my wedding bouquet. Gathering and replanting the DIY succulent favors was something I did over time, in the span of a couple months and was able to replenish them as the days got closer. It was something creatively and mentally freeing. It also gave me something to have more in common with my mom.  I used this as “me time”. With all the stress wedding planning and coordinating can be,  since coordinating is what I do for a living, this was a moment I took in and used as time for myself.

Succulents are desert plants, so they don’t need much water. Today, family and friends are excited to show me their succulent favors, how they are keeping them alive and have kept our love growing in their home.

SPREAD THE LOVE!

I bought these mini terra cotta planters from Moskatel’s and succulent feed from Osh. Succulent Favor

I made around 180 of these little monsters! I watered them once a week.Succulent Wedding Favor

We wrapped them in newspaper and stored them in big boxes the night before so that we were able to transport them without any major disaster. JOY and LOVE photography
